L. Gerig, M.Ed — Principal
Rich came to Advancement Associates after a long career at Goshen
College where, among other positions, he was director of advancement.
Combining formal education (Arizona State University) with 30 years
of experience, Rich is a unique resource in institutional advancement.
He has developed three areas of expertise:
- mentoring new advancement professionals, particularly in areas
of enrollment, constituency relations and development;
- helping organizations to strengthen relationships with their
supporting denominations; and
- counseling institutions in their advancement planning.
Rich played the central role in conceptualizing, executing and
implementing the Gideon Project, a large-scale study of attitudes
about Mennonite higher education.
He has directed international study/service programs in Haiti and
Germany.
