Advancement Associates ,

HistoryHistory

In 1998, Jerry Kennell established JK Advancement with the goal of supporting the missions of denominationally related nonprofit organizations through consultation in fundraising and communications. Initial clients included a community recreation program, a seminary, an interfaith housing provider and a Mennonite high school.

The company incorporated in November 2000 and began operations as Advancement Associates, Inc. on February 1, 2001. In a very few years, the success of AAI’s holistic approach to advancement necessitated expansion in consulting staff and services, now including enrollment support for preK-12 church related schools, strategic visioning, and capital campaign support for congregations.

When Jerry Kennell left AAI in December 2007, fellow principals Rich Gerig and Becky Drumm continued leadership of the company. In addition to Drumm and Gerig, the AAI staff includes associates skilled in the areas of market research, marketing and communications. They work as a close-knit team to help clients achieve their advancement goals and AAI continues to grow.

What can you expect when you work with Dan? He will come prepared, bring good materials, think through the design of the workshops, and make people feel at home.
